Naushad, Kumar, and Brigman Shine at WAQ

Our weekly Wednesday Action Quads tournament took place at the Charlotte Chess Center's Main/South location on February 14, 2024. This time around, a total of 30 players participated across 7 quads, including a six-player Quad G.



The following players finished in first place in their quads:


Quad A: Brian Zhang (2.5 points)

Quad B: Ibraheem Naushad (3 points)

Quad C: Akshay Rajagopal and Benjamin Raz (2 points)

Quad D: Nishita Jaikumar and Pranav Arun (2 points)

Quad E: Mukund Neema and Tamaghna Roy (2 points)

Quad F: Brayden Brigman (3 points)

Quad G (six players): Ritvik Kumar (3 points)


Ibraheem Naushad's perfect score in Quad B propelled his USCF rating to a new peak of 1717! The other two perfect scorers, Ritvik Kumar (1025 -> 1199) and Brayden Brigman (1321 -> 1387) both reached new all-time high ratings as well. Congratulations to all quad winners!
