On March 12, 2024, the Charlotte Chess Center hosted our weekly Tuesday Night Action tournament at the CCC Main/South location. TNA is a weekly tournament held every Tuesday evening in which participants can play one round of USCF-rated chess, following a lecture by FM and CCC founder Peter Giannatos.
The following players won their games this week:
Top: Andrew Wu, Shawn Bale, Adharsh Rajagopal, and Namish Kondabathini
U1750: Brent Jenkins, Sampath Kumar, Chalpati Gundumalla, Mike Day, Charlie Manolakis, Diya Balamurugan, Steven Libonati, Luke Johnson, Travis Caskey, and Kevin Nguyen
U1300: Vinmay Nair, Nilai Gummi, Charles Cameron, Reyansh Mayank, Avery Bradley, Ritvik Kumar, Eldar Gabidoff, Esteban Gutierrez, Jeevith Reddy, and Nichol Garrison
The only player with wins in both TNAs this month so far in the Top section is Shawn Bale. Two players (Brent Jenkins and Sampath Kumar) are on 2/2 in the U1750, while a whopping five players have two points in the U1300. We'll see if any of these players are able to maintain their win streaks as we get further into March.
