The first Monday Action Quads of March 2024 took place on March 4 at the Charlotte Chess Center's North location. A total of 17 players participated across four quads, with a five player "small swiss" Quad D.
Monday Action Quads (MAQ) is a three-round USCF-rated quads event open to all scholastic players. The following players finished in first place:
Quad A: Caleb Kidd (2.5 points)
Quad B: Bhargav Raghavendra (3 points)
Quad C: Devansh Chintalapati and Lavinesh Balamurugan (2.5 points)
Quad D ("small swiss"): Aarnav Kaushik (3 points)
Caleb Kidd has finished atop Quad A two weeks in a row now! Meanwhile, Bhargav Raghavendra went 3/3 to earn a new peak USCF rating, and Aarnav Kaushik finished with a perfect score in his first rated tournament.
Congratulations to all quad winners. Don't forget that all players in grades K-8 who score a perfect 3/3 in MAQ qualify for our NEW Tournament of Champions event scheduled for May 4!
We hope to see you at the next Monday Action Quads on March 11.
