Three Perfect Scores at 180th FAQ!

The Charlotte Chess Center hosted the 180th iteration of our Friday Action Quads tournament on February 16, 2024 at the Main/South location. A total of 22 players showed up to form five quads, including a six player "small swiss" Quad E.

Friday Action Quads is a USCF-rated scholastic chess tournament open to all players K-12. The following players finished in first place in their respective quads:

Quad A: Samanyu Ammasani (2.5 points)

Quad B: Cole Putnam (2.5 points)

Quad C: Samuel Price (3 points)

Quad D: Madison Malmgren (3 points)

Quad E (six player "small swiss"): Saket Kumbhar (3 points)

Three players (Samuel Price, Madison Malmgren, Saket Kumbhar) finished with a perfect 3/3. All players K-8 who achieve perfect scores in an FAQ tournament are qualified for our NEW Tournament of Champions scheduled for May 4, 2024.

Congratulations to all quad winners! Remember that players are free to submit games for possible inclusion in these reports using the button below or the on-site QR code. We hope to see you at the next Friday Action Quads on February 23.
