OVERVIEW

Sunday Action Quads is a 3-round US Chess-rated event open to all scholastic players (grades K-12). Players are grouped into Quads, sections of four players with similar ratings, ensuring balanced matchups and an engaging, competitive experience.

Can't make Sundays? Great alternatives are:

• Wednesday Action Quads (best for ratings 800+)

• Friday Action Quads (all ratings)

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

• Participants must be members of US Chess.

  • Need a US Chess Membership? Purchase through the CCC and save!

• Open to K-12 participants (ages 17 and under)

• Limited to first 60 to register.

• Online registration only.

• Registration closes 15 minutes prior to round 1 if not already full.

Round 1: 4:30pm 

Round 2: ASAP

Round 3: ASAP

Approximate End Time: 6:30pm

TIME CONTROL

G/20; inc/10

20 minutes per player plus a 10 second increment per move.

HOW IT WORKS

• 3 US Chess rated games every Sunday night.

• Quad format - students are placed into groups of 4 by their current "live" US Chess rating to ensure close matchups.

• Quads are for students (K-12) only

• IMPROVE - Game Analysis and Blitz with CCC Head Coach, WFM Uthra Pakkiriswamy

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

This event is a qualifier for our Tournament of Champions event. Players who score a perfect 3-0 performance in any quad qualify to play in the TOC!

Players currently rated 1500+: Free Entry (see special notes for details)

CCC Members: $18.50

Non-Members: $22.50
