The Charlotte Chess Center hosted the second Sunday Afternoon Classical of the month (and the new year) at the North location on January 14, 2024.
The SAC is held at CCC's North Center every Sunday afternoon, with one standard-rated game per week. The round two winners (and current leaders) in each section were as follows:
Top: Yeider Guerra Villa
U1300: Pravesh Gupta, Axiao Yao, and Shaurya Nannapaneni (with Alex Sedlock also receiving a full-point bye)
Currently, Yeider Villa and Axiao Yao are the two players with 2/2 across both weeks, in the Top and U1300 sections respectively.
