OVERVIEW
Friday Action Quads - South is a 3-round US Chess-rated event open to all scholastic players (grades K-12). Players are grouped into Quads, sections of four players with similar ratings, ensuring balanced matchups and an engaging, competitive experience.
This event is a qualifer to the Tournament of Champions. More on the TOC below.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Participants must be members of US Chess.
Need a US Chess Membership? Purchase through the CCC and save!
Open to K-12 participants (ages 17 and under)
Limited to first 60 to register.
Online registration only.
Registration closes 15 minutes prior to round 1 if not already full.
HOW IT WORKS
3 US Chess rated games every Friday night.
Quad format - students are placed into groups of 4 by their current "live" US Chess rating to ensure close matchups.
Quads are for students (K-12) only.

Approximate End Time: 9:00pm
TIME CONTROL
G/20; inc/10
20 minutes per player plus a 10 second increment per move.

Medal to winner of each quad
This is a CCC Grand Prix event!
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
This event is a qualifier for our Tournament of Champions event. Players who score a perfect 3-0 performance in any quad qualify to play in the TOC!

CCC Members: $18.50
Non-Members: $22.50

Quad players are not permitted to withdraw mid-event. Forfeiters will not be able to enter future CCC events.
Free Entry Policy:
Free entry is offered to players who have a current live USCF rating of 1500+. No exceptions.
If you register for free but must cancel, email us to withdraw by 6:00pm - 1 hour before game.
Refunds:
$3 transaction fee until Thursday (one day before the event)
$5 transaction fee for same-day cancellations until 6:00pm
No refund for cancellations after 6:00pm
