NM ZUBIN BALIGA

Zubin started his chess journey at age 4 on a travel chess set and has never turned down an opportunity to play since. He entered the world of tournament chess in high school and jumped from 1100 to an expert rating in seven months. And after six years of continued dedication to the game he became a National Master in 2023.

Zubin has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master's Degree in Economics from Duke University. He has been coaching chess for the past three years and loves nothing more than nurturing his students' passion for the game.
