The Charlotte Chess Center hosted our weekly Sunday Action Quads tournament at the CCC Main/South location on March 10, 2024. SAQ is a three-round scholastic chess tournament open to all players K-12. This time around, a total of 35 players participated across 8 quads, including a seven-player "Small Swiss."
The following players finished in first place in their respective quads:
Quad A: Michael Lu and Shanmukhi Malireddy (2.5 points)
Quad B: Samanyu Ammasani and Satvick Kumar (2 points)
Quad C: Arin Samanta (3 points)
Quad D: Caiden Deadwyler (3 points)
Quad E: Yashwin Meka (3 points)
Quad F: Carter Hahn (2.5 points)
Quad G: Ishan Ghosh (3 points)
Quad H ("Small Swiss"): Harshit Kumar (3 points)
Remember that all perfect scorers in grades K-8 are qualified for the NEW Tournament of Champions event, scheduled for May 4, 2024!
