OVERVIEW
Under 800 Wednesdays is a free, 1 round per week, US Chess rated tournament for children, held every Wednesday at the CCC's North Charlotte location.

Start Time: 6:30pm
End Time: 8:00pm at the latest
REQUIREMENTS
Youth only event, must be in grades K-8
Players must be rated under 800
Unrated players who wish to establish a rating are welcome to play
Participants must be members of the US Chess Federation
Participants must be members of the CCC
HOW IT WORKS
Players must register weekly and in advance using the online registration system
Each Wednesday will be limited to the first 20 players to register
Registration will close at 6:15pm if not already full
Students play one rated game per week, the event is rated monthly
Students may choose to get their game analyzed by a CCC coach

TIME CONTROL
G/35 + 10
Each player receives 35 minutes plus a 10 second increment to complete the game.

The top player in each section will receive a trophy!

NOTES
Tournament Directors will accelerate pairings to pair players close in rating when possible
Most recent "live" US Chess regular ratings used for all sections to ensure close matchups
This is a monthly tournament - the rating report is submitted on the last Wednesday of the month, and a new event begins on the first Wednesday of each month.
All players must use CCC equipment - weighted sets and digital clocks provided
Players who no-show forfeit without notice may not be permitted to play in future events.
