The CCC Rapid and Blitz is a 1-day tournament featuring a $1,000 guaranteed prize fund in a US Chess and FIDE Rapid/Blitz rated format.

Rapid Registration closes 12:45pm.
Rounds: 1:00pm, 1:40pm, 2:20pm, 3:00pm, 3:40pm
Break between Rapid and Blitz: 4:15-5:00pm

BLITZ SCHEDULE
Blitz Registration closes 4:45pm.
Blitz Rounds: 5:00pm then ASAP, Blitz ends ~7:15pm.

9 Rounds (Swiss, single rounds)

ENTRY FEES
Players rated 2200+: Free entry ($25 deduction from prize per event - no deduction for GMs, IMs, USCF 2400+)
CCC Members: $25.00 per event
Non-Members: $30.00 per event

BYES
Players may take up to 2 optional half-point byes in either tournament, must request before round 1. Byes allow a player to skip a round they cannot otherwise attend. All byes requested during the tournament are zero points.
RULES
Refunds: $5 fee for refunds before the event; $10 fee for same-day; no refund after event begins
Boards, weighted sets, digital clocks provided (must use our equipment).
Event is US Chess Quick and Blitz rated – US Chess membership required
Event is also FIDE Rapid and Blitz rated – FIDE membership (no cost) will be created for new members.
Live US Chess regular OTB ratings used for pairings and prizes. At the TD's discretion, USCF Blitz, Quick or FIDE ratings may be used if higher than USCF regular.
Accelerated pairings are possible.
