Class Overview
Overview:
Students who are either complete beginners or who have only learned and played chess at home. This course is best for students with no tournament experience or formal chess instruction.
Goals:
By the end of this course, students will confidently play complete, legal games of chess. They will understand how games conclude, learn essential checkmating patterns, and master the fundamental skills needed to succeed in chess. Our experienced coaches focus on building a strong foundation, preparing students for future competitive play.

Class consisist of learning and play time.
Students may join class immediately upon completion of online registration.

Make-Up Classes:
While students are expected to attend classes chosen at the time of registration, we understand that things come up. If a student must miss a scheduled class, they may notify CCC staff and attend a different day of the equivalent class. Make up classes must be scheduled the week leading up to, or the week just after the missed class.
