Junior Master Camp - North

OVERVIEW

Junior Master Chess Camps are thoughtfully designed for children who are new to chess or still building confidence with the basics. Whether your child is learning chess for the very first time or has only played casually at home, these camps provide a welcoming, structured, and engaging environment where students learn, grow, and have fun.


No prior experience is required.

BEST SUITED FOR

  • Complete beginners

  • Students who have only played chess at home or at school

  • Students who have not competed in a formal tournament 

  • Children between the ages of 5-12


Students with rated tournament experience should consider our Master Tour Camps, which are designed for more advanced competitive players.



TOPICS + LEARNING METHODOLIGY

All camps are taught in person by CCC’s highly trained and nationally recognized coaching staff. Instruction is structured, age-appropriate, and tailored to each student’s experience level.


Students New to Chess Will Learn:

  • How each piece moves and captures

  • Proper board setup and rules of play

  • Check, checkmate, and basic checkmating patterns


Students With Some Experience Will Learn:

  • Tactical ideas and strategic thinking

  • Opening principles and piece coordination

  • Advanced checkmating patterns


Students are grouped by relative skill level, ensuring every child is challenged appropriately while remaining engaged. Each camp typically includes 2–3 instructional groups. Students may move up groups during the week as they progress, allowing motivated learners to advance while ensuring no one feels overwhelmed.

$185/week per child



DISCOUNTS

  • Register for 2 weeks of camp and receive $10 off per camp.

  • Register for 3 weeks of camp and receive $15 off per camp.

  • Register for 4 weeks of camp and receive $20 off per camp.



REFUND POLICY

5% transaction fee with more than 30 day notice, 10% transaction fee less than 30 days, no refunds after camp begins.
