GEOFFREY CHARLES

Geoff was born in Cape Town, South Africa and in 2003 moved to the US to teach 8th grade math.

In his first tournament on US soil, he won shared first place in the under 1600 section of the NC Closed Championships. He currently has a US Chess rating of 1775.

Always an avid supporter of chess & technology in education, Coach Geoff is excited to bring his passion for teaching to the CCC.

Geoff completed his BSc. in Communications at Stephen. F. Austin State University in 2012.
