CHARLES CATOE

Charles Catoe was born and raised in Lancaster, South Carolina before attending Charleston Southern University. After a couple years there, Charles transferred to Winthrop University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. A few years later, Charles garnered his Master of Science in Business Administration concentrated in Sport Management/Coaching/Coaching Theory from Liberty University. 

Although Charles is a novice to playing the game of chess, the competitive nature in him through playing sports has inspired him to learn from the best. He is devoted to his family, enjoying life with his wife and son, and cherishes traveling and taking part in all kinds of outdoor activities. His love for coaching and mentoring youth has driven him to seek ways to contribute to the community.

 As a Human Resources Generalist, his primary focus is to foster a cohesive organizational culture and cultivate strong relationships within the Charlotte Chess Center. Also, his focus is geared to establishing effective payroll processes and implementing benefits in the near future.
