Uthra is a WFM born and raised in Chennai, India. She started playing chess at the age of 6 and moved to the US in 2016.
Uthra has a USCF rating of 2031 and had a peak FIDE rating of 2114. Of her many accomplishments in chess, she was Asian U-17 gold medalist.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. She lives in Fort Mill, SC along with her two kids and husband.
