ERIC KENNEDY

Eric is a Charlotte native and graduate of UNCC with a B.A. in Music. Eric learned to play chess at a young age from his father, but only began taking the game of kings seriously over the past few years. His favorite part of the game is solving tactical positions, and outplaying his opponents.

In addition to teaching chess, Eric also teaches private clarinet and music composition lessons. Like with teaching music, Eric emphasizes the importance of a strong foundation when teaching chess. His favorite part of teaching is inspiring students to pursue their passions and ensuring they have fun while learning.

Aside from teaching, Eric also performs for local churches on occasion and composes music in his free time.
