The Charlotte Chess Center kicked off the 2024 season of Friday Action Quads (FAQ) on January 5th at the CCC Main/South location. A total of 32 players gathered to form 8 quads, with each player playing three US Chess rated games.
Here are the winners from each of the eight quads:
Quad A: Diya Balamurugan (2 points)
Quad B: Three-way tie between Cole Putnam, Shlok Kaushik, and Joshua Wakefield (2 points each)
Quad C: Adhvik Pradeep (2.5 points)
Quad D: Prathyun Ramnath (3 points)
Quad E: Tyler Lamm (3 points)
Quad F: Three-way tie between Arnav Dronamraju, Major Collins, and Revant Pandey (2 points each)
Quad G: Sharav Vijayan (2.5 points)
Quad H: Adhrith Srikrishna (3 points)
Congratulations to each of the quad winners, and especially to Prathyun Ramnath, Tyler Lamm, and Adhrith Srikrishna, who scored a perfect 3/3 and have now earned a spot in the NEW Tournament of Champions scheduled for May 4, 2024.
