PLAYING WITH THE INITIATIVE

The Charlotte Chess Center will hold an online Master Camp, February 20-21, 2021.  This is our highest-level camp in terms of level of instruction and camper rating threshold.  This camp provides 13 hours of the highest level of instruction available, and there will be campers rated over 2400.  The camp topic is “playing with the initiative.”

Format:

Online Via Zoom Conferencing - All registered students will receive log in instructions prior to camp

  • Every day, both groups will spend 2.5 hours with each lead instructor (GM Topalov and GM Polgar) plus a 90-minute practical exercise session with GM Shankland for 6.5 hours of serious training each day.

  • All instructors will prepare specific material based on “playing with the initiative” for this camp.  Students will receive files and homework exercises.

Enrollment:

  • Group A: 2200+ USCF

  • Group B: 2000-2200 USCF

Camp Tuition:

$450 by February 1, $500 after. 

Single day option: $275 per day by February 1, $325 after.
