The CCCSA conducts weekly and monthly chess events such as weekly rated play, special events, lectures, classes, weekend tournaments.

The CCCSA is constantly making efforts to create partnerships with local and national educational programs to further the expansion of chess not only locally but nationally.

JUNIOR MASTERS CAMPS

Junior Master Chess Camps are camps designed especially for students starting chess for the first time or those with limited knowledge beyond the basics. 

When:

June 22-26, 2020

July 13-17, 2020

August 3-7, 2020

August 17-21, 2020

*Students may choose to enroll in multiple camps. Within every camp there are groups by levels. Students will have te ability to move up levels within the camps.

Requirements:

Minimum Age 5

 

Day Schedule:

8:30am - 9:00am: Check-In

9:00am - 10:15am: Chess Instruction and Training Activities

10:15am - 10:30am: Snack Break

10:30am - 11:30am: Group Chess Activity

11:30am - 12:30pm: Additional Training

12:30pm - 1:00pm: Free Time and Pick-Up 

 

Content:

Students New to Chess will Learn: Piece Movement, Board Set-up, Basic Rules, Checkmating Patterns, and more!

 

Students Who Have Played will Learn: Tactics, Strategies, Opening Principles, Checkmating Patterns, Chess History, and much more!

 

Lunch:

Students may pack lunch to eat during free time

Snacks provided everyday at 10:15am

 

Other Notes:

Chess art workshop on the last day of camp

Prizes and awards given on last day of camp

Students will be divided into groups based on age and ability

Fees:

CCCSA Members: $165.00/Week

CCCSA Sibling (2): $310.00/Week

 

Non-Members: $180.00/Week

Non-Member Siblings (2): $340.00/Week
