INTERMEDIATE II
This class is an introduction to chess strategy.
Students will learn various types of plans in all three phases of a game: opening, middlegame and endgame

What does this mean for the student?

Students will receive a live lesson from their usual instructor via Zoom conferencing

Students will be able to engage with their instructor in real time.

Instructors will upload problem sets to Chessable where students will be able to complete their homework (more details coming soon).

CCCSA course curriculum will be followed as planned.

1:00pm - 2:00pm

Student Expectations:
Attend the classes scheduled. Submit completed homework each class. Participate in at least one Unrated Practice Tournament.

Format:
All classes are conducted over an 6 week period, where students come
once per week.
Classes are always conducted in class sizes at or less than a 12:1
student/teacher ratio. Most classes have between 6-8 students.
Space limited to first 12 that apply to each class.
End of Course Goals:
Students will learn opening strategy, middlegame concepts and basic endgame techniques.

Students should have also participated in at least one Unrated Practice Tournament.
​
Students who successfully complete this class will be given a "certificate of tournament readiness" and will be given endorsement to participate in rated play.
