GM/IM NORM INVITATIONAL- Holiday
The 2020 Holiday CCCSA GM/IM Norm Invitational will take place December 26 - December 30, 2020. There will be 1 GM group and 1 IM group where participants will be looking to score their norms or even get their IM/GM titles! Each group will feature 10 players.
The CCCSA has organized 16 GM/IM Norm Invitational tournaments thus far and has produced 43 norms and 21 titles!
This Event Follows the 2020 North American Junior (U20), also held in Charlotte

COVID-19 Measures
We will almost certainly not cancel or postpone this event due to COVID-19. Restaurants, business, and travel have been open in North Carolina since May 20. We will be taking many preventative measures to ensure the safety of our players:

Venue facilities (tournament hall) and all chess equipment will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected daily

Players and parents who are sick will be asked to stay home

One board per table, promoting social distancing

Players are not required to shake hands before and after games

Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipe stations will be placed throughout the tournament hall

Masks or face shield required, gloves recommended

Spectators will be encouraged to watch games online instead of on-site
