OVERVIEW
A three round US Chess-rated tournament open to all scholastic (K-12) players. Quads, which group students in sections of 4 by their rating level, are a great way for students to get closer matchups for a more fun and competitive challenge.
This event is a qualifier for the Tournament of Champions, an invitation only event held on December 14, 2024. Players who score 3/3 in their quad qualify to participate in the TOC.

REGISTRATION
Limited to first 62 to register. Registration must be completed online ahead of the event.
REQUIREMENTS
Ages 17 and under
Participants must be members of the US Chess Federation
US Chess is the governing body of chess in the US and conducts all of the rating calculations for players. Need a US Chess Membership? Purchase through the CCC and save!

Round 1: 4:30pm
Round 2: ASAP
Round 3: ASAP

HOW IT WORKS
Players must register weekly and in advance
3 US Chess regular and quick rated games every Sunday
Quad format - students placed into groups of 4 by their most current "live" US Chess regular rating to ensure closer matchups.
Each evening will be limited to the first 62 players to register
Entries are first registered, first served
Quads are for students (K-12) only

TOC QUALIFIER
This event is a qualifier for the Tournament of Champions, an invitation only event to be held December 14, 2024. Students who score 3/3 in their quad will get an invitation to the TOC.
TIME CONTROL
G/20; Increment 10
Each player receives 20 minutes plus a 10 second bonus each move to complete each game

Players currently rated 1200+: Free Entry (see special notes for details)
CCC Members: $17.50
Non-Members: $22.50

WITHDRAWAL
Please use this link if you have registered and would like to withdraw from this event.
Free Entry Policy
Free entry is offered to players who have a current live USCF rating of 1200+. No exceptions.
To take advantage of free entry, register online by the day before the event (Saturday evening).
If you register for free but must cancel, email us to withdraw by 3:30pm - 1 hour before game.
Refund policy
$3 transaction fee until Saturday (one day before the event)
$5 transaction fee for same-day cancellations until 4:00pm
No refund for cancellations after 4:00pm
Must register weekly - first registered, first served
Great for students playing their first rated games
Quad players are not permitted to withdraw mid-event. Forfeiters will not be able to enter future CCC events.
