RULES AND NOTES

100 Point Rule: Must be rated 1600+ to “play up” into Saturday G/45 Championship Section. Players may use any of the following to qualify for the 100 point rule:

Withdrawals/Refunds:

$5 transaction fee until May 25.

$10 transaction fee after May 25 until 1 hour before round 1.

Byes: Players may take up to 2 optional half-point byes per event, request before round 1. All byes requested during tournament are zero points.

Registration Cap: registration closes at 130 players per event.

Ratings:

May 2023 US Chess regular ratings used for pairings and prizes in all events.

Accelerated pairings possible in all events.

All events are submitted for their relevant US Chess and FIDE ratings.

US Chess membership is required for all players.

Players without a FIDE ID number will be assigned one at no cost.

Boards, sets, clocks provided (must use our equipment).

Plaques to first place in all sections, based on the following US Chess tiebreaks: Cumulative, Average Opposition Rating cut one.
CCC FAIR PLAY MEASURES

No spectators are allowed in the playing area.

Tournament staff will be equipped with wands and anti-cheating equipment.

Stronger quality and quantity of TDs, arbiters, and organizers than other events.
