The Charlotte Chess Center’s Fall Elite Blitz offers 10 blitz games and $500 in cash prizes. The event is open to players rated 1700+ and is USCF and FIDE Blitz rated.

REQUIREMENTS

• Participants must be members of the US Chess Federation

• Must be rated 1700+ USCF (peak ratings OK)

 

FORMAT

• Time Control: G/3+2 - 3 minutes plus 2 second increment

• 5 Double Rounds (10 total games)

• 1 Open Section

• Swiss System, accelerated pairings may be used

• US Chess Blitz rated and FIDE Blitz rated

• FIDE Blitz rules in effect

• US Chess Regular ratings used for pairings and prizes

• All equipment provided

All registration closes 4:45pm

Round 1 at 5:00pm then rounds ASAP, tournament should end by 7:30pm
