This class is not only be a load of fun but will be a great way for girls to meet friends. This club is designed especially for girls to introduce the fundamental basics of chess and guide them all the way through tournament play.
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Attend the classes scheduled. Submit completed homework each class.
It is recommended that those interested in this course finish the Beginner I course first.
All classes are typically conducted over an 6 week period, where students come
once per week.
Classes are always conducted in class sizes at or less than a 12:1
student/teacher ratio. Most classes have between 6-8 students.
Space limited to first 12 that apply to each class.
End of Course Goals:
The CCCSA will work closely with the US Chess Women's Initiative to ensure that girls and women have a comfortable avenue into the wonderful world of chess.
As the class grows expect more events geared to girls/women during the year.
Students should remain in this class until the Intermediate II level then transition to that class. Coach Anna may write a recommendation to girls she thinks are fit to move on.
