The CCCSA conducts weekly and monthly chess events such as weekly rated play, special events, lectures, classes, weekend tournaments.

The CCCSA is constantly making efforts to create partnerships with local and national educational programs to further the expansion of chess not only locally but nationally.

MINI A.L.T.O 

A.L.T.O stands for At Least Twenty One. This event is designed particularly for adults and will take place once a quarter. The tournament will be organized in a quad format and will feature cash prizes.

The original A.L.T.O tournament was designed by Dr. Walter High as a full weekend tournament. With his approval, the CCCSA has decided to organize a 1 day event with a similar format.

Registration:

Players may register ahead of time using the form below.

Players may also register on site from 9:00am - 9:45am the day of the event.

Requirements:

Participants must be members of the US Chess Federation

21 Years Old +

 

Time Control:

G/90; delay 5

Each player receives 90 minutes plus a 5 second delay each move to complete each game. 

 

Round Times:

Round 1: 10:00am

Round 2: 1:30pm 

Round 3: 4:45pm

Players may agree to begin rounds earlier (both must agree)

Prizes:

Winner of each quad receives $75 first place or $90 for perfect 3-0 score!

CCCSA Members: $30.00

Non-Members: $35.00
